Muffin

About Muffin

Meet Muffin, the gray and white 7 year old cat. Muffin’s previous guardian passed away. There were no family or friends to take in Muffin so she came to the Shelter to find an adoptive home. Muffin has been social and friendly since her arrival but definitely has some boundaries she would like respected. She tends to like affection on her terms and is otherwise a bit of an independent gal. When she is in the mood for attention, she appreciate pets and purrs while headbutting people’s hands. We do not have any history of Muffin living with other pets. A home with older kids (if any) are recommended as Muffin may show more subtle body language that she is not wanting interaction that children may oversee. Muffin’s adoption fee is sponsored thanks to the Silver Whisker’s Society, a fund aiming to get often overlooked seniors out of the Shelter! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
