About Sally

Meet Sally, a female black kitten. Sally arrived to the Shelter with her brother Jack. A good Samaritan observed that the mother cat was hit by a car a few weeks ago and took these two kittens in to safety. The home environment was a bit too much for the kittens (young children who were a bit too rambunctious for the shy kittens). Sally and Jack would enjoy a home together, if someone is looking for a duo, but are not required to go together. Although a bit shy, Sally will likely thrive when given time to decompress and bond with her new family in the home. A home with another animal may be a fit provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction. Sally should be indoors only moving forward to keep her safe (as well as our local wildlife). Sally is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. Sally’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards often overlook black cats! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
