Meet Spike & Princesa – a bonded pair of adult cats. These two sweeties came to the Shelter after the family was unable to continue caring for them and had to make the difficult, emotional decision to surrender them to the Shelter. Princesa and Spike are siblings who have grown up together. They have lived with children as young as 6 years old, teens and adults. Their favorite activity is playing. Princesa fetches balls like a dog! These two were indoors only previously and would do best in a similar set up moving forward. They have experience living with other cats as well as a cat-savvy dog. Any other animals in the home should be introduced in a slow, thoughtful manner. To keep Spike and Princesa together, their adoption fee is 2 for 1!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
