About Copper*

Meet Copper, the 4 month old male orange tabby kitten. Copper came to the Shelter after a good Samaritan found him in the neighborhood with his three littermates. After feeding them for a period of time, they were concerned for their safety in the long term. Copper has experience playing with the two pugs that the person owned. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. To keep Copper safe (as well as our local wildlife), an indoor only home is required moving forward. At the Shelter, Copper has been loving attention from staff and volunteers. He loves to play with toys and would likely do well in a variety of homes. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
