A little shy at first, Callie feels safest in calm, quiet surroundings. She may hide while she takes in her new surroundings, but give her time, patience, gentle words, and a few tasty treats, and her sweet personality will begin to shine. Callie loves observing the world from a cozy hiding spot under the couch or tucked into a soft cat bed. Once things are peaceful, she enjoys coming out to chase crinkle balls and bat at ribbons. She’s learning that human hands can bring wonderful things like treats—and she may even reward your patience with a soft chin scratch. She’s looking for a calm, low-traffic home where she can settle in at her own pace without loud noises or lots of sudden movement. Her ideal adopter will understand that sometimes the sweetest bonds are built slowly, one tiny step at a time. A confident, friendly resident cat would be a wonderful bonus for Callie. A feline friend could help show her the ropes and give her the extra confidence she needs to feel secure. If you’re willing to give this beautiful girl the time and space she needs to blossom, Callie may reward you with something truly special: the sweetest purrs and a loving friendship built on trust.
