After arriving as a stray, Evan was initially unsure about life as an indoor cat and found just about everything a little scary. Those days are long behind him. Now, Evan has fully embraced indoor living and confidently rules the house! Evan generally gets along well with the resident cats, though he can sometimes be a little enthusiastic in his interactions. Because of this, slow and thoughtful introductions to other pets are recommended. He does well with elementary-aged children and adults who understand how to approach him calmly and respectfully. Evan is a loving, affectionate companion who is always ready to flop over for belly rubs, rewarding his favorite people with some of the loudest purrs you'll ever hear. He loves holding hands, giving endless kisses, and being close to his humans. While he can occasionally get a little "pawsy" during playtime, he's simply having fun and does not show signs of aggression. A playful spirit, Evan could happily spend hours chasing a string or batting around his favorite toys. When he's not playing, you'll likely find him perched atop the highest spot on the cat tree, carefully monitoring the birds and squirrels outside.
