MAE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OUTSIDE A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER OCTOBER 13 DUE TO HER VETTING REQUIRMENT. This sweet girl is Mae, a 13-week-old female possible Border Collie/Shepherd mix weighing about 20 pounds. We expect Mae to grow into a medium-to-large-sized dog. Mae and her six siblings came to Iowa from Oklahoma in mid-August, and this little girl is ready to find her forever family! Mae is the perfect mix of sweet and energetic. She LOVES attention, being held and snuggled, toys, and playing with her siblings. On those hot days, she enjoys an occasional dip in her kiddie pool! And one of Mae’s most adorable quirks? She insists on eating her meals while elegantly seated next to her bowl. She's got manners... sort of! Mae could be happy as your one-and-only pup or with another dog. She hasn't met cats or children yet, but with proper introductions, supervision, and guidance, we think she could do well with both. As with any young puppy, Mae's new family will need to continue working with her on leash training, kennel training, and house training.
