MJ is a little black beauty with the sleekest black fur and the brightest yellow eyes. She’s taken a little while to warm up to us humans, but she’s making incredible progress—and she’s starting to really trust her foster mom. These days, MJ will sit near me on the couch or bed and let me pet her. She’s not quite ready for cuddles, but she’s definitely learning that human attention can be pretty great! Once she gets comfortable, she really gets into the pets and wants more and more—all while purring and giving me the sweetest little slow blinks. When she’s not relaxing nearby, you’ll find MJ running, playing, and having fun with the other cats in the house. She’s gentle, timid, and very non-dominant. She would likely do great with a friendly feline buddy to keep her company and help her feel secure. MJ will need a home that understands that trust takes time. She needs some space, patience, and the freedom to grow into her confidence and personality at her own pace. But she has already come so far, and it’s been amazing to watch her transformation. I made friends with all the kittens and cats here pretty much right away. They’re my kind of people. Now, the human people… well, I’m still working on that part. I’m a little shy and need some time to decide that humans are trustworthy. My foster mom is helping me learn, though. She gives me yummy treats, and I let her pet me and even rub my belly! When I’m really happy, I purr… and sometimes I get SO happy that I drool. I may be a little shy, but underneath that shy exterior is a sweet little girl who just needs someone willing to be patient with her.
