Adoption Fee: $190 +tax To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family: Smokey is a beautiful grey tabby with striking jade green eyes. She is curious, adventurous, and most of the time she has a high energy level and requires lots of play. She goes crazy for a piece of string but especially for the ever elusive and mysterious red dot (laser pointer). She loves treats as well. Sometimes Smokey’s energy level can turn her a little feisty, and she sometimes bites, but never too hard; however, this is why we feel she would do best in a home without children, although she is quite easily re-directed with a toy. She is also very slow to warm up to our resident cat which leads me to believe she would do better as an only cat without any other pets in the household. When Smokey is feeling calm, she can be very affectionate and sweet. She will beg for attention and petting by giving you a headbutt or two (or three!). Smokey is a good lap warmer; she likes plush blankets and will start to knead, or “make biscuits” as we say, I think because the blanket reminds her of her mommy and makes her feel comforted. Although Smokey may take a little time to adjust, she will make a wonderful companion to someone patient, caring, and as fun loving as she is!
