Meet Marley – A Shy, Sweet Girl Learning to Trust Again Marley is a shy, gentle, and incredibly sweet Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been through a lot of change. After unexpectedly losing her beloved owner, Marley found herself searching for a new sense of security and stability. Since arriving in NJ, Marley has been showing just how much patience and kindness can help her blossom. She can be wary of new people at first and will need some time to feel comfortable, but once she realizes she's safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. In fact, by just her third day with her foster, Marley was already greeting them and sitting on their lap! Marley is sweet with kids and calm around other dogs. While she's not particularly interested in playing with them, she peacefully coexists and has shown no aggression. She would do best with a patient family who understands that trust takes time and will let Marley open up at her own pace. She's also a smart, independent girl who enjoys having a routine. Marley is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. Her crate is her safe space, where she can relax and feel secure. Marley is looking for a family who will give her the patience, consistency, and love she needs to continue building confidence. In return, she'll reward you with the sweetest companionship once she knows she's home. Marley is up to date on vaccines, tested negative for heartworm, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500. - Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
