About Hobo

Hobo has been home fostered several times since arriving at Rescue Ranch as a 3 month old puppy. He is now 8 months old and reaching for adolescence. His foster Mom describes him this way: Sweet tempered and gentle No visible prey drive Dog friendly and non-reactive Devoted and affectionate Cooperative with grooming Enjoys hugs and belly rubs Low Moderate energy; more into sniffer walks than zoomies Trained to use a dog door Travels willingly in a car Sleeps through the night Rarely barks Hobo also comes with some quirks identified by his foster Mom: timid with strangers; fearful with men but never aggressive bonds quickly with most ladies startles when in unfamiliar or busy/noisy areas We believe Hobo's quirks are primarily puppy behavior and will moderate as he grows more experienced and confident in a stable and loving home. Hobo prefers to be with his people above everything else, including playing with his dog pals. If you are looking for a devoted companion who enjoys your company on couch or in an adventure visit him at the Rescue Ranch or arrange a meeting with his foster mom in Ashland. Read Hobo's Dog of the Week post here: https://rrdog.org/dw/hobo/ Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with 911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds) by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required), and a portion of the cost will be refunded.
