Shayle's story began with bravery and motherhood. On the night Winter Storm Fern swept through the area, this petite stray cat appeared at the home of a compassionate animal lover, seeking shelter from the freezing weather. That very night, Shayle gave birth safely indoors, protecting her kittens from the dangerous storm outside. Thanks to her instincts and resilience, her babies survived and thrived. Now that her kittens are growing up, Shayle is finally getting the chance to focus on herself—and she’s discovering how wonderful love and safety can be. She is very affectionate with people and enjoys attention, pets, and companionship. Shayle would likely do best as the only cat in the home, where she can fully relax and not feel the need to compete for space or affection. Her experience with dogs is unknown. Shayle is looking for a calm, loving home where she can leave survival behind and simply enjoy being cherished. After all she’s been through, this sweet little mama deserves a lifetime of comfort, warmth, and love.
