About Pterodactyl

Estimated date of birth: 1/20/2024Meet Pterodactyl (“Pterry”) Pterry—short for Pterodactyl—is one-of-a-kind, and not just because of his adorable name! This handsome boy is a polydactyl, meaning he has extra toes that make his paws look like the cutest little mittens. Pterry is full of personality and PLAY! He loves toys, games of chase, and anything that keeps him entertained. But when the sun goes down, his zoomies give way to a much more peaceful side. Pterry loves curling up on top of his cat tree, where he can perch high above everything and settle in for a restful night’s sleep. His mitten paws aren’t his only special feature. Polydactyl cats are sometimes called Hemingway cats, after author Ernest Hemingway, who famously adored them. They’re often known for being friendly, affectionate, adaptable, and playful—and Pterry certainly lives up to that reputation! Pterry would prefer to be the only cat in his home, where he can soak up all the attention and be the star of the show. He hasn’t been tested with dogs, but we think he may do well with a respectful dog given a slow, careful introduction. Because he can get pretty enthusiastic during playtime, a home with older children would be the best fit for him. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, mitten-pawed companion with a BIG personality, Pterry may be your perfect match! Adoption fee: $150. Pterodactyl is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and negative for Feline leukemia and FIV.
