About *Gilbert Grape

Meet Gilbert Grape! Gilbert came to us as a stray after life on the streets had been pretty rough on him. This handsome boy was still an unneutered tomcat and arrived with a significant cat bite that needed to be stitched up. He's still sporting a bit of a limp while he heals, but he's recovering beautifully—and through it all, Gilbert has been an absolute sweetheart. The moment you start petting him, the purring begins! Gilbert just wants to rub, rub, rub against you, give you head bumps, and soak up every bit of affection you're willing to offer. He even loves kisses! This boy is so incredibly loving that we have a feeling he's going to be a master snuggler once he's settled into a home of his own.Gilbert also tested positive for FIV, another remnant of his rough life on the streets. But FIV doesn't define this sweet boy or take away from everything he has to offer a family.Gilbert may have had to be a tough guy on the streets, but underneath it all is one great big softie who seems more than ready to leave that life behind. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate boy with a huge purr and an even bigger heart, come meet Gilbert Grape. We think he's going to make someone very, very happy.
