About Margaret
Hi! I'm Margaret, and I'm a 5 month old black and white, slightly fluffy girl kitty! I have a tuxedo pattern, and I am a very respectable, elegant girl. I loooove cat treats, especially churu. If you adopt me, you're going to definitely need to keep me living in the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed, which is to say, I need at least 1 churu/squeeze-up treat a day. Preferably more! I have an exquisite purr, and I don't mind other cats. But I don't love living with like, a ton of other cats. One or two friends at the most. Otherwise, their feelings will get hurt when you have to give me most of your attention. Am I a diva? Maybe. But why would I want to be anything less? I spent some time in foster care because the people at the shelter thought I was spicy--as my foster parents learned, the truth is, I'm actually just a lil' sassy and prefer to be the main star. I've never been aggressive. I prefer to hide under bedcovers until I feel safe, but you can usually pet me just fine while I'm under the covers. Yes, I will need time to adjust to my new furever home, and sure, I might hiss at you to start, and true, I don't love being picked up by strangers. But I am very sweet at heart, and just need you to have patience while I ensure everything is to my liking and you learn how to properly cater to my every need. Once I know you, then I will eventually let you pick me up (it took my foster parents a couple of weeks, so don't be discouraged--I'm sure you'll learn how to be a good furever friend with just a bit of time). If you're looking for a young cat who doesn't need any other cats to be happy, you should really come visit me! I'm currently at the Furbabies Cat Cafe, who adopts kittens out on behalf of the Carroll County Animal Shelter. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
