At around 4 years old, this sweet boy has already been through something no cat should have to experience: he was abandoned by his owner and left wondering where his family went.Understandably, Gus Gus can be a little shy when he first meets new people. He may need some time to feel safe and settle in, but once he realizes he’s in a loving environment, his gentle and affectionate personality begins to shine. Give him patience, kindness, and a little time, and you’ll discover what a truly sweet companion he can be.Gus Gus is neutered and is ready for a fresh start with someone who will love him exactly as he is. He is extremely overweight, so his new family will need to work with him on a healthy weight-loss plan and help him with grooming, since his size makes it difficult for him to properly care for his coat himself. With patience, encouragement, and regular care, we hope Gus Gus can become more comfortable, healthier, and more confident.What Gus Gus needs most is a loving home that will never give up on him again.
