About Candy Litter: Skittles
Meet Skittles — Sweet and Colorful This handsome little guy was born in June 2026, and he is every bit as sweet as his name suggests—with LOTS of different facets to his developing personality! With that adorable face and beautiful brindle coat, Skittles is definitely an eye-catcher. And this guy? He knows how to have FUN! Skittles is a happy, playful puppy who thinks toys are fantastic, exploring is an adventure, and mealtimes are basically the greatest event of every single day. Skittles LOVES to eat. ANYTHING. He really doesn’t care what you call him—just DON’T CALL HIM LATE FOR DINNER! ️ A few treats and congratulations—you are now Skittles’ new best friend. He’s not saying his affection can be bought, exactly…but let’s just say snacks will move your application to the top of his personal list. Skittles loves playing with his canine foster sister, Lily. They chase each other around the yard, and he happily shares his beloved squeaky toys with her. Even in the middle of a good romp, though, Skittles takes a break to check in with his foster mom. ❤️ He also watches Lily closely and takes his cues from her. Having a good canine role model has been a big help while this busy boy works on housetraining, leash walking, and crate training. Now, about that exercise pen… Apparently nobody explained to Skittles that the sides are supposed to keep puppies IN. Skittles is a MASTER CLIMBER. He can scale his exercise pen like Sir Edmund Hillary scaling Mount Everest—only Hillary probably didn’t stop halfway up to see if anyone had a treat. So yes, Skittles is curious. He’s adventurous. He’s busy. And he has places to go and people to see! But don’t let all that puppy energy fool you. Skittles has a very sweet and snuggly side, too. After a day of zooming around the yard, chasing leaves, investigating every blade of grass and conducting important puppy business, he’s quite content to settle down for some serious cuddle time. Although Skittles is crated when his foster mom can’t be with him, nighttime is another story. He sleeps happily snuggled in with Foster Mom and Lily. Apparently Skittles believes crate training is important—but bedtime accommodations are negotiable. Skittles’ breed mix is said to include Labrador Retriever, Dalmatian, and Australian Shepherd, which may explain his fun combination of brains, curiosity, energy and personality. His mom weighs approximately 45 pounds, while dad is around 75 pounds, so Skittles is expected to grow into a medium-to-large-sized dog. In other words, that puppy body is just the beginning. There’s a whole lot of growing—and loving—to come! So, Who Is Skittles Looking For? His forever family! Skittles is looking for someone who will enjoy watching him grow, continue his training, keep that curious puppy brain busy, and give him plenty of appropriate outlets for all that puppy energy. He needs a family who understands that puppies aren’t finished products. They’re adorable little works in progress—with big personalities, lots of love to give, a few things left to learn…and, in Skittles’ case, an impressive ability to eat things and to climb things he probably shouldn’t. And in return? You’ll get a handsome brindle shadow, a champion snuggler, a professional squeaky-toy tester, a four-legged adventure buddy, an enthusiastic dinner companion, and one very happy boy who will think you hung the moon. ❤️ Just remember… Keep the treats coming, the squeaky toys handy, and the exercise pen VERY tall.
