About Phillip

Phillip is a sweet, affectionate guy who may not look like your typical picture-perfect pup just yet, but spend a little time with him and you'll quickly see what a special dog he is. This approximately 2-year-old boy came to rescue from Mississippi after being found with other dogs in a hoarding situation. Despite his difficult start, Phillip doesn't seem to let his past define him—he is loving, curious, and absolutely wonderful with people and other animals.Phillip is crate trained and currently working on his potty training. He loves following his people around to see what they're up to and will happily seek out attention when he's ready for some love. He's a big fan of cuddling and would gladly spend time right by your side.Phillip's favorite things: Squeaky toys Walks Food Cuddles and attention Following his people around to see what's happeningPhillip is good with both dogs and cats and would do well in a home with or without another dog. We think he would especially enjoy having a furry friend around. He does well in his crate or a small gated area, but he would do best with a family where he isn't left alone for long periods of time.Phillip is curious when visiting new places but isn't destructive. He can get very excited and likes to jump up to say hello, so a home without young children would likely be the best fit.Phillip is currently dealing with skin issues and needs some extra TLC to get healthy, reach a good weight, and give his fur the chance to grow back. His adopter will need to be committed to continuing his care and giving him the patience and attention he deserves while he heals.And this is important: please don't let his current appearance fool you. Some people may overlook Phillip because he doesn't have the full, fluffy coat of a healthy dog right now, but underneath it all is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. Phillip has so much love to give and is ready for someone who will see past his rough beginning and give him the chance to shine. With some patience, TLC, and a whole lot of love, we think Phillip is going to make an incredible addition to his forever family.
