✨ UPDATE!! MEET LARRY! ✨ Meet Larry! This sweet little guy came to us from a local overcrowded shelter and has already stolen some hearts in foster care! Larry is a 10-week-old Lab mix who currently weighs just 4 lbs. We believe he will grow into a medium-to-large-sized adult, although adult size is always an estimate with mixed-breed puppies. Unfortunately, this poor baby arrived covered in mange. He immediately started treatment, and in just two short weeks, he has already come SO far! His skin is healing, he’s settling beautifully into foster care, and through it all, he has remained the sweetest little guy. ❤️ Larry isn’t quite adoption-ready yet, but his future is looking bright! He needs a few more weeks to finish healing and complete his vetting. Once he is healthy, has received at least two rounds of vaccines, and has been neutered, he’ll be ready to head to his forever home! ✨ KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR LARRY’S UPDATES! Watching this little guy heal and blossom is going to be pretty special. Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply. We work to find the home that is the best match for each individual animal. We never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. Puppies especially will need continued potty training, socialization, and guidance as they grow. ADOPTION FEE: $195 The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter. All puppies will be altered before adoption. As part of our rescue policy, all healthy, adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We have researched pediatric spay/neuter extensively and discussed it in depth with multiple veterinarians. From a rescue standpoint, this is an essential part of our efforts to prevent unwanted litters. There are no exceptions to this policy for healthy, adoptable puppies. Please do not request an extension on spay/neuter, as one will not be granted. Puppies/dogs who are not yet adoption-ready because their vetting is incomplete may be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. Deposits may ONLY be submitted after Wags & Whiskers has contacted you regarding your approval and specifically requested the deposit. The $50 deposit is applied toward the adoption fee, leaving a $145 balance due at pickup. ❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue.
