About Independence 26-09

Meet Miss Independence. She is a gentle, one-of-a-kind girl with a spirit as strong as her name. She has cerebellar hypoplasia—often called “Wobbly Cat Syndrome”—which simply means she moves through the world a little differently. Her steps may be unsteady, her head may bob when she focuses, and her balance isn’t perfect—but her heart absolutely is.Independence doesn’t know she’s any different. She plays, explores, and loves in her own charming, wobbly way. Watching her navigate her surroundings is both endearing and inspiring; every small victory is met with quiet determination. She’s a reminder that joy doesn’t require perfection.Because of her condition, Independence is looking for a thoughtful, safety-conscious home. She needs a low-to-the-ground lifestyle—no stairs she could tumble down, no high perches, balconies, or lofts where a misstep could lead to a fall. Soft surfaces, easy access to essentials, and a predictable environment will help her feel secure and thrive. She will also only be placeable with other pets if they are friendly and respectful, as she cannot defend herself as well. She is very friendly and gets along well with other cats and dogs.In return, Independence offers deep companionship, sweetness, and a truly special presence. She may need a little extra consideration, but she gives back tenfold in love and resilience. If you’re someone who sees beauty in uniqueness and can provide a safe, grounded home, Independence will be an extraordinary addition to your life.Adoption fee includes:✅ Spay/Neuter✅ Vaccines✅ Microchip✅ Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Independence?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: $175For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.org
