About BP Misty

Forever home wanted, meet Misty! Misty and her four sisters; Lightning, Cloud, Rain and Dew entered the shelter with their mother as owner surrenders by an unhoused person. We are unclear what the circumstances were that the owner came back to reclaim the mother and left the 5 six-week-old puppies in the shelter. Underage puppies cannot stay healthy in an overcrowded shelter, so when we heard about them, we reached out to get their status. The veterinary staff at the shelter would not spay them prior to 8 weeks of age so in the best interest of the puppies, they agreed to release them to rescue! Well, we wasted no time in trying to find fosters and we were in luck! Two families stepped forward and took the girls in. They entered the shelter on August 3rd, we were told they were two weeks old at the time they were surrendered. That makes them approximately 7 weeks old as of 9/7 when we pulled them from the shelter. All the puppies are healthy and thriving in their foster homes. If you are interested in meeting Misty or any of her siblings, please fill out an application at labradorsandfriends.org. Misty and her siblings are located in Southern California.
