About Elio
Elio was left in a park in Fremont in a box at just 2 weeks old. This tiny baby was found screaming for help, cold, and weighing only 4.4 ounces . His eyes had barely started to open, and he desperately needed someone to care for him. We took this little fighter in and began bottle-feeding him every few hours, helping him get stronger and healthier one feeding at a time. And what a champion bottle drinker he turned out to be! Elio is incredibly advanced for his age. At only 4 weeks old , he figured out the litter box all by himself— within a single day! Even more impressive, he hasn't had a single accident since. He's one smart little guy! Don't let his tiny size fool you. Elio has BIG kitten energy! He loves sprinting around and doing his best to keep up with kittens twice his age . He happily wrestles and plays with them, never seeming to realize that they're much bigger than he is! But underneath all that energy is a serious cuddle-bug. Elio loves his people and will actually climb up the sofa just to curl up in our arms for a cat nap . Once he's settled in, you'll hear his wonderfully loud purrs and little meows , letting you know just how happy and content he is. Elio is comfortable around young and adult cats , young children , and the everyday sounds of a busy home—including the vacuum, piano, drums, tap shoes , and more. From a tiny, cold kitten crying for help to a confident little tabby racing around the house, Elio has come such a long way. He's smart, playful, affectionate, and incredibly resilient. Our first-choice adopters are those who adopt 2 from us. Second choice are those who have a young cat at home. Elio thrives with the company of other cats. Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-and-adoption/ and click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION button to submit your application, and let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received. All of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. Kittens require a $150 minimum adoption fee to help us fund our program. We are looking forward to your application submission.
