About Callie - ARR
Callie If you’ve ever wanted a little shadow who thinks the best place in the world is right next to you, Callie may be your girl. This incredibly sweet, easygoing little lady is happiest when she’s with her person. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, moving around the house, or settling in for a nap, Callie would love nothing more than to be right there beside you. Personal space is definitely not high on her list of priorities! Callie can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, but give her some time and patience and you’ll get to see what a loving, devoted girl she really is. Once she decides you’re her person, she takes that job very seriously. She does well with other dogs, cats, and children over eight, although she doesn’t need another dog in her new home to be happy. Her favorite companion is definitely her human. Callie has a nice medium-to-low energy level and is perfectly content with a quieter lifestyle. She is pee-pad trained and does not require a fenced yard. She would especially enjoy a home where her person is around much of the time, although she does fine when left alone. More than anything, she’s looking for someone who will appreciate having a loving little sidekick who wants to be part of their day. Callie does have a heart condition that will require lifelong care, but we’ve worked hard to get her set up for success. She has been evaluated by a cardiologist, her treatment plan is in place, and she takes her medications like a champ. She will need to remain on her prescribed medications and supplements and have regular echocardiograms so her heart can be monitored. For the right adopter, it simply becomes part of the routine of loving and caring for this very special girl. We would love to find Callie an experienced dog owner, ideally someone familiar with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and their needs, with a strong history of providing consistent veterinary care. In return, Callie has an enormous amount of love and companionship to give. She isn’t asking for much: a comfortable home, good care, patience when she first meets you, and most importantly, a person she can call her own. Callie’s adoption donation is $675 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, is current on her vaccinations, has been tested for heartworms and is on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Callie has also had a dental cleaning and complete bloodwork.
