About Rudy
✨ UPDATE!! MEET RUDY! ✨ How has this adorable little fuzzball not found his forever family yet?! Rudy was found as a stray and taken in by one of our wonderful volunteers. Since entering foster care, this boy has absolutely THRIVED! We believe he is a Lab/Aussie mix, around 6-ish months old, and he is full of life, personality, and love! ❤️ Rudy doesn’t meet a stranger! He loves people, loves other animals, and is just an all-around happy little guy. He has the perfect combination of being active and playful while also knowing how to settle down and relax. His foster has some pretty amazing things to say about him: Very loyal Doing amazing with potty training Kennel trained Awesome recall Knows sit AND shake Eager to please and loves learning Great with kids of all ages Good with cats Would LOVE having other dogs to play with Active but laid-back at the same time For such a young puppy, Rudy is already showing everyone just how smart and special he is! He wants to be involved, wants to learn, and most of all, he just wants a family of his own. Rudy is UTD, neutered, and READY TO GO! We truly think this boy could make an incredible family dog. Whether it’s playing outside, going on adventures, learning new tricks, wrestling with a canine sibling, or curling up with his people afterward, Rudy is ready for all of it! Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply! We work to find the best match for each individual animal. While Rudy is doing wonderfully with potty training, we never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. ADOPTION FEE: $195 The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter. All puppies will be altered before adoption. All healthy and adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this policy for healthy, adoptable puppies. We have researched pediatric spay/neuter extensively and discussed it in depth with multiple veterinarians. From a rescue standpoint, it is an essential part of our rescue efforts. Please do not request an extension on spay/neuter, as one will not be granted for a healthy puppy. Puppies/dogs whose vetting is not yet complete may be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. Deposits may ONLY be submitted after Wags & Whiskers has contacted you regarding your approval and specifically requested the deposit. The $50 deposit is applied toward the $195 adoption fee, leaving a $145 balance due at pickup. ❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Somewhere out there is a family looking for a smart, loyal, playful, loving little best friend—and Rudy is ready and waiting for them! ✨
