**Courtney is deaf/hard of hearing.** Name: Courtney Age: 3.5 Months Activity Level: Moderate to High- I love to play- especially playing with other puppies and playing tug with my human foster family and friends. I play hard and nap hard ! Things I do in my free time: I love to be outside, I love to sniff, watch (and chase) bugs, play in the dirt, and just sit and soak up the sunny day. I also love to play and zoom around! My foster mom gives me cardboard chewing projects and I love to shred them! I also love to nibble on my toys and chew on my bones. Things I know: I know “sit” with a hand signal and am working on down ! As a deaf puppy I am working on looking to my people. Things I am learning: I am learning how to “listen” with my eyes! As a deaf puppy I learn by watching and looking at hand signals. I’m learning how to walk on a leash, how to come and how to lay down. I’m learning how to get along with other dogs and puppies, I need some help from the humans sometimes because I’m an excited puppy and I can’t hear all of the things the other puppies and dogs tell me! Kids: I get really excited by kids ! Dogs: I love to play with other puppies my age! I love to observe adult dogs; when I see one I will stop, sit, and observe them. I’m learning how to navigate life with my foster dog siblings (5 and 16 pit bull mixes). I am learning that they don’t always want to play (even though I wish they did!) Cats: I haven’t interacted too much with cats, if I see one I might want to chase them! Size: Medium- 18lb @ 3.5 months Car rides: I like to go for adventures in the car! I ride in a car crate and like to hangout there, with something yummy to chew on! Additional Info from foster parent: Something special about me is I can’t hear you; I’m deaf! I am still a smart cookie and am learning a lot everyday. I am learning to watch your hands and wait to look at what you will sign for me. I also love to use my nose! My foster mom thinks I would do great at Nosework ! I can find anything with my nose!
