When active, FCV can cause upper respiratory symptoms and gingivitis and may be contagious to unvaccinated or immunocompromised cats and kittens. The virus can remain dormant and may flare up during times of stress or anxiety, so a calm, loving, low-stress home will be especially important for her. The good news is that Spice Girl does not require ongoing medication . If she develops symptoms, medication may help manage and lessen them.
