About Tigger II
Tigger has made huge progress since his rescue last October and he is ready now to find his forever home. He was initially very frightened of people but has now developed a trusting relationship with his foster mom and dad AND seems quite willing to trust new people he meets. He loves to be petted and loved on, especially first thing in the morning, but he can still be skittish and avoid contact if he is suspicious about your motives. Recently he injured his eye and had to have eye drops numerous times a day, but he was so obedient and compliant when he knew what this was all about. So Tigger's family will just need to be patient while he grows accustomed and comfortable. He LOVES his fenced yard with trees and squirrels and he would be bored if there was nothing but grass. He knows the schedule of breakfast, dinner and bedtime treats and is trained to go in his crate for food. After bedtime treats though, he sleeps either on the bed with mom and other dogs, or on a dog bed. Tigger is proficient with the dog door and during the day he plays, hunts and naps. Tigger is a confident little boy who walks with a sassy little swagger. He is alert, energetic and stinking cute! He needs another dog to play with for sure. We'd actually love it if he got adopted together with his brother Pooh, but Pooh has not come along as far and we don't want to hold Tigger back. He could be a flight risk in the beginning, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Tigger was heartworm positive but has already been through his treatment and has retested negative. He is ready for a sleepover with an appropriate family.
