Hocus is Looking For: A safe place to call home! She's tried saying "hocus pocus" to use magic to find her forever home...but turns out she needs some human help to find her happily ever after. Hocus is ready to experience all of the wonderful things about having a home. Comfy beds for nap time? Yes please! Trips to the dog park? Sign her up! Quality time with her family? She can't wait! But most of all, Hocus just wants to feel safe and loved for all her days. Help her feel the magic of a forever home by adopting her today! What My Foster Says About Me: Hocus is a well-proportioned, head-turning beauty of a dog. She simply gleams with her soft black coat and white bib. Hocus would thrive in a relaxed household where she can get the attention she deserves. She only gives a rare bark inside, but would do best in a home where she has a little space to move. Given this "elbow-room", she's an amazing in-the-house dog. She plays with her toys, but doesn't get into things that aren't hers. She does like to walk around to make sure everything is in order. And after her periodic check to make sure all is good, she loves to settle in next to her people, to chew on a hard chew toy and watch the world go by. Bonus if you have a good window she can look out of. Hocus is in her happy place when she has a backyard that she can explore - she loves a long romp in the yard looking for squirrels or chasing her soccer ball. She's doing a great job of doing her business outside. Hocus decidedly likes humans more than dogs, but once she gets to know the dogs she lives with, she’s happy to have a canine companion! She loves to be petted and scratched and told what a good girl she is. She'll reward you with snuggles and big wags of her tail to let you know she's sooooo happy. Hocus appreciates some good walks and plenty of playtime in the yard, but after that, Hocus settles in, with you, her favorite human. Then she's lights out and is quiet all night. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, vaccinations, transport from the shelter, and her spay. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
