About Wesley

Beating the Odds- Meet Wesley , a sweet little gray-and-white tuxedo boy with a huge spirit and a very special story. Wesley is shy at first, but once he gets to know you, his loving personality shines through. He is an absolute purrbox who starts his motor the moment you pick him up and is always ready for a good snuggle. He enjoys being close to his people, although during the day he often finds a cozy nook or hiding spot for a peaceful nap. Wesley has had to overcome a lot. He has a small body frame and an unusually small heart, lung scarring from repeated episodes of pneumonia, congenital knee luxation, and possible hip luxation. Because of his sensitive system, his diet also needs to be carefully managed. He does best with small portions of Sheba food and does well with Science Diet Kitten. Because of his heart and lung conditions, Wesley’s long-term prognosis is guarded. We simply don’t know how much time he has. But what we do know is that this little guy has so much love to give—and deserves the opportunity to enjoy every moment of his life in a loving home. Despite all the medications and treatments he has received, Wesley remains incredibly sweet and cooperative at the vet. He occasionally romps around with his feline friends and gets along wonderfully with our medium-sized dog. However, loud noises and too much activity can startle him, sending him on a classic “Scooby-Doo” dash toward the nearest hiding spot! Wesley would do best in a very quiet, loving home with another gentle kitty or friendly dog. He could also be your one-and-only companion. A calm household with someone who understands and embraces his special needs would be ideal. Are you a veterinarian or vet tech? Wesley might be your perfect little sidekick. ❤️ Or perhaps you’re simply someone with a soft spot for the underdog and a heart big enough to give this little guy his best life. Wesley may be a little miracle—and he is waiting for someone who will treasure him for however long he is given.
