About Fern
Hello, my name is Fern. I was brought to SFAAR when I was only a few weeks old. When I was 3 months old I went to the vet to be spayed. While I was at the vet, I was diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur and heart failure. Because of that, I may not have a full life span. Despite all that, I love to play with other cats and I adore people. I enjoy my food and eat like a normal kitty. While my time here may be short, I have been in rescue for just over 5 years and am still loving life in my foster home. My heart condition is being controlled with heart medication, but because I am doing so awesome in my foster home, I am not curretly on any medication. Even though we don't know how much longer I will be around, I am enjoying every second I have and am living life to the fullest.Sometimes I get a urniary tract infection or ear infection, but those are treated very easily with antibiotics.SFAAR will adopt Fern into a home that understands her life expectancy is unknown and who has experience with a cat with a heart issue. They would also need to continue her medication and help keep her quality of life comfortable.
